Capabilities

Eight disciplines. One accountable team.

Multidiscipline engineering under a single point of accountability — which is why tie-ins land where the isometrics say they will, and why a change in the process design reaches the structural model the same week.

Industries

Six sectors, and the codes that govern each of them.

Hygienic design and FDA compliance do not transfer to a coker unit, and relief system philosophy does not transfer to a malting tower. We work where our engineers have already done the work.

Refining

LGO Hydrotreater — Jet Draw Addition

A new jet draw from the hydrotreater fractionator for blending, with diesel rate held by increasing DGO recovery from the bottoms. The existing side stripper was converted from diesel to jet stripping with a reboiler, and a new diesel surge drum added. All tie-ins and the fractionator revamp were executed inside the turnaround window.

Marine Terminals

Berth Topsides Ship Loading Facilities

Design of new topsides ship loading facilities at an existing marine berth, with on-shore piping redesigned to bring the terminal into MOTEMS compliance. Conceptual through detailed design, built on a laser-scan survey of the existing wharf and piping.

Terminals

Oil Transfer Pump Replacement

Replacement of six oil transfer pumps across two facilities — larger pumps and motors, variable frequency drives, new electrical infrastructure and upgraded instrumentation throughout. Conceptual and detailed design across all five disciplines, with the existing systems kept in service during changeover.

Chemical

Bio-Degradable Polymer Production Facility

A first-of-its-kind bio-degradable polymer production facility, scaled up from an existing pilot plant under a fast-track design-build contract. FEED through detailed design across all five disciplines, compressed to meet an aggressive schedule with no full-scale precedent to design against.

Food & Beverage

Beverage Distribution Centre & Syrup Plant Upgrade

A new 160,000 sq ft distribution centre for a bottling and syrup production plant: racked storage with fire sprinkler protection, logistics and material-handling layout, truck access and control booth, an administrative building, and full integration with the operating plant alongside it. Scope also covered a new dust collection system and ductwork for the syrup plant, electrical integration into the existing plant MCC, and plan check submittal for AHJ approval.

Renewable Energy

Solar Steam Generation Facility

A concentrated solar power facility using a heliostat field to reflect sunlight onto a central collection tower, reaching temperatures above 1,000°C to raise steam supplied to an adjacent mining facility. Our scope began at survey and grading, then facility layout, heat and material balance, and P&IDs and instrumentation. Piping and equipment material selection covered boiler tower piping, water, steam and condensate lines, and piping around the steam turbines, with secondary containment designed throughout.

Mechanical Integrity

Process Fume Duct Vibration Assessment

Field vibration at a fan outlet duct's side plate pointed to resonance with flow-induced frequencies. A finite element modal analysis pinpointed the critical modes, and stiffening flat bars were added at strategic locations to shift the duct's natural frequencies clear of resonance.

Industrial & Manufacturing

E-Waste Recycling Facility

Platform and foundation design for a new e-waste recycling facility, with bulk material handling equipment covering shredding, sorting and storage. Scope also included equipment sizing and specification, electrical and controls, an NFPA-compliant explosive dust collection system, and plan check and permitting.

Why Veridian

Large-firm capability. Small-firm accountability.

Three things genuinely separate Veridian from the firms it competes against for this work. The rest is table stakes — and we meet them.

01 — Agility

The engineer who scoped it is the engineer who draws it.

Unlike large EPC firms, Veridian is built for small and mid-size projects — lean teams, fewer handoffs, and a flexible approach that compresses timelines without cutting corners on quality.

02 — Blended delivery

A local front office, a high-value engineering centre.

Project management, client contact, and field support sit in Southern California — and so does every PE stamp, QA/QC review, and plan check submittal. The majority of detailed engineering and 3-D BIM production runs through our engineering centre in Uruguay, under direct supervision of our U.S.-licensed PE staff, in the same working day. You get competitive rates without the overnight lag, rework, or compliance risk that offshore engineering is usually shorthand for.

03 — Safety

Safety isn't a checkbox — it's underwritten.

Veridian is an active participant in Avetta and ISNetworld, the compliance networks industrial clients use to vet contractors before they set foot on site, backed by design output that carries it through: HAZOP support, area classification, and relief/hydraulic analysis built into detailed design, not bolted on after.

Multidiscipline under one roof

Process, mechanical, piping, electrical, controls, civil and structural — no subcontracted disciplines, no coordination gaps.

Industrial depth

Senior engineers with 20+ years across oil & gas, chemical, food & beverage, heavy industry, solar and hydrogen.

Concept through startup

Feasibility to commissioning as one continuous scope, not a series of contracts.

Regulatory compliance

ASME · API · ANSI · IEEE · NEC · IBC · NFPA · OSHA · IEC · HACCP · GMP · ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 · FDA · ATEX.

Quality that survives the field

Squad checks, peer review and constructability analysis before an isometric leaves the office.

Our promise

Zero incidents through a proactive safety culture. Full regulatory and client-policy compliance at every project stage. Continuous improvement through audits, lessons learned, and feedback loops.

About Veridian

Veridian exists for the projects that sit awkwardly between a specialist consultant and a global EPC — too technical for one, too small to get attention from the other.

Founded in 2025 and headquartered in Southern California, we built our team around senior engineers who have spent their careers on exactly this class of project. Our Professional Engineers are licensed across multiple U.S. states.
